Will tape-in extensions damage my hair?
Tape-ins applied with the reverse method don't pull on the scalp the way clip-ins or sewn-in extensions do. The wefts sit just below your roots, not directly on the scalp. With proper application, removal and care, your natural hair stays healthy throughout.
How many sets do I need?
One kit is enough for the vast majority of women. The exception is very thick hair or anyone wanting extra coverage at the front, in which case you can add an extra single weft (30g) for blending.
What's the difference between tape-in and clip-in extensions?
Tape-ins stay in your hair for up to 4 weeks at a time and are designed for daily wear including sleeping, swimming and exercise. Clip-ins must be put in and taken out each day, are visible at the roots, and can damage the hairline over time from constant clipping pressure. Tape-ins blend more naturally and are far more comfortable for everyday use.
Are DIY hair extensions suitable for fine or thinning hair?
For fine hair where you can still see definition, yes. For very thin hair where the scalp is visibly showing, we don't recommend extensions because the wefts can show through. If your scalp is visible at the parting line, this product isn't the right fit. Submit a photo for our colour match team and they'll let you know honestly.
Can I sleep, swim and exercise with them in?
Yes to all three. Sleep with hair in a loose plait, rinse after swimming to remove chlorine or salt, and exercise normally. The tape is designed for daily life.
